Tombstone Lodge Entrance by Livvy Skelton-Price

On the other side of the ocean waiting for me was a soft pillow and a six bed dorm with no. one. else. in. it. I had a room to myself.

This hostel was my favourite. It sits across the road from a graveyard, and it would be so easy for the owners to try and pretend their earie, scary neighbours didn’t exist but instead they embraced it and created this fun, death themed motel/hostel with a cozy, welcoming vibe.

Tombstone backpackers had easy parking, so rear with backpackers which gave so much ease to my tired mind. I arrived late so the owners were no longer by the desk but my key was sitting, waiting for me on the desk with a lovely welcome note and map. I found my room to discover I had it all to myself. And I had a beautiful neighbour, Billy the Goat. Right outside my door. They also have a spa, table tennis table, darts, games room, library, and my favourite part — a deck with boganvillia growing above. Beautiful.

After my lonely ride on the InterIslander I couldn’t be happier to arrive in a beautiful fun location to relax in.

Not to mention breakfast was freshly made scones served in a cute little wicker basket. Cute. Cute. Cute.

10/10.
